But staff were urged to use the policy with “extreme caution” and only attempt to verify ages if they appear “at least 25”.
It came after migration minister Robert Goodwill, revealed one in 10 claiming to be children in the Calais Jungle had been found to be adults.
The first of 300 migrant children arriving under the Dubs amendment – who do not have family links to Britain – are expected this week.
Meanwhile Match Of The Day host Gary Lineker poked fun at the criticism he received Pictures: GETTY; EPA; LNP; REUTERS over his defence of migrants coming to the UK on Saturday night’s show. He introduced the programme by saying “welcome one and all” and finished off by telling ex-goalie and pundit Mark Schwarzer: “You’re fired!” The England legend 55, also teased Twitter followers with a picture of himself on the set before the show, with a cheeky caption that read: “Still here folks.”
