Haribo cyanide threat
A PENSIONER who tried to blackmail Haribo by poisoning their sweets with cyanide has been arrested by police.
The 74-year-old also threatened Aldi and Kaufland supermarket chains, it is claimed.
He allegedly demanded £855,000 after claiming he and his wife could not live on their pensions in Bonn, Germany.
A Haribo spokesman said: “At no time has there been a threat to our consumers.”
