PIRATES of the Caribbean star Jack Davenport will lead the cast in a major new drama for ITV.
He will star alongside The Good Wife actress Archie Panjabi in the six-part series.
They play a couple whose lives are turned upside down when a loved one is killed. Director Justin Chadwick said: “I’m excited to be working with such stellar talent in Archie and Jack.” Filming starts next month. JED Mercurio reckons the show is a hit because it is not as simple as rival crime dramas.
Line Of Duty, which thrilled five million viewers in Sunday’s return, is known for its interrogation scenes.
Jed said: “What makes the show talked about is that it’s unpredictable. You need a certain level of complexity for something to be unpredictable.
“If everything is simple... it gives the audience time to think ahead.”
Line Of Duty continues on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
