STARS RECORD CHARITY SONG

- by LAUREN CLARKE

CELEBRITIES are lining up to record a charity single to raise funds for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

X Factor winner Louisa Johnson, Tulisa and Emeli Sandé were all seen arriving at Sarm Studios in west London to record their parts for Simon Cowell’s Band Aid-style track.

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones and pianist Tokio Myers – this year’s Britain’s Got Talent winner – are lending their musical skills to the track, which is due out this week. Organiser Cowell said he hoped the single – a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s hit Bridge Over Troubled Water – will raise millions to help those caught up in last Wednesday’s blaze.

Louisa added: “The amount of people that have actually agreed to it and gone out of their way to do it is incredible, especially how busy some of these people are.

“Everyone will love it. I’m really hoping that it does well.”
