Agony of ‘last call’ from mother Prince happy snapper at 3

PRINCESS Diana cuddles baby Prince Harry in a photo taken by his brother William.
The image was snapped on holiday on the royal yacht Britannia when Wills was nearing his third birthday.
It was released as the two talked about their mother in an ITV documentary to be screened tonight.
They both revealed how they are still haunted by their decision to cut short their final phone call with Diana.
She rang them just hours before she was killed in a car crash in Paris.
Harry, 32, said he could not remember exactly all that was said during the conversation, but added: “I do remember regretting… for the rest of my life how short the phone call was.”
Models
William said the five-minute call was his “very last memory” of his mother. He also told how he came home from school to discover his mum had arranged for supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington to meet him. “I was probably a 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them,” he said. “I went bright red, and didn’t know quite what to say.” Diana loved dressing them in the “most bizarre outfits,” including as police officers with helmets and radios. ¬ÊDiana, Our Mother: Her Life And Legacy is on ITV at 9pm tonight.
