Store re­veals top Xmas gifts

THE world’s big­gest toy shop has un­veiled its top 10 presents for Christ­mas.

Ro­bots, tech toys and cud­dly an­i­mals are among the must-have gifts for chil­dren this year.

Those on the list at Ham­leys cen­tral ® Lon­don store in­clude Tyler, the Play­ful Tiger – a cud­dly toy cub that can talk.

Fisher-Price’s Dance & Move BeatBo – a ro­bot which teaches tots songs and dance moves – makes the cut too. With the re­lease of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi in De­cem­ber, a Lego ver­sion of the rolling BB-8 ro­bot is on the list along­side Vernie, the firm’s other ro­bot.

Also in cin­e­mas, Power Rangers vil­lain Megazord is among the most wanted.

A toy Range Rover Evoque ride-on elec­tric car races into con­tention as well.

Clas­sics in­clud­ing horserid­ing Barbie and the Nerf Gun Nitro Longshot are also in­cluded.

Get A Grip – a game in which play­ers com­plete tasks with­out us­ing thumbs – joins the favourites.

Based on the TV show PJ Masks, the PJM Head­quar­ters play­set is also pre­dicted to be pop­u­lar.

Hatchi­mals Egg Sur­prise is an­other trendy present.

Luvabella, a £100 toy baby that can learn to talk and even has a heart­beat, com­pletes the pres­ti­gious list.

Vic­to­ria Kay, from Ham­leys, said hi-tech toys are more pop­u­lar be­cause they are get­ting “smarter”.
