A lotto was true
Brit doctor fights off 6ft beast
A WOMAN who won the lotto and lost weight after a medium said she would come into money and slim down has become a psychic.
Sandra Murrell, 36, visited the medium in 2011.
She was told she would receive a lot of money and shed the pounds, and two years later Sandra won £70,000 on the lotto and then lost three stone with Slimming World.
Sandra, from Redditch, Worcs, said: “The reading I received has come completely true. The medium said I’d be doing what she was doing.”
A SURFER escaped the killer jaws of a great white shark when he punched it on its nose.
Brit Charlie Fry had been in Australia for two weeks when he headed for Avoca Beach, 60 miles from Sydney.
The 25-year-old was in the water with three doctor pals when he felt a bump on his arm. Looking round, he came face-to-face with the six-foot shark.
As the beast lunged, Charlie remembered a YouTube video of exworld champ surfer Mick Fanning escaping a shark by punching it.
Charlie, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, said: “I got this massive thud on my right-hand side, it completely blindsided me. I thought it was a friend goofing around. I turned and I saw this shark come out of the water and breach its head.
“I just punched it in the face with my left hand and then managed to scramble back on my board, shout at my friends and luckily a wave came, so I surfed the wave in.”
Charlie made it to the coast and was driven to Gosford Hospital where he worked with his mates. He said he did not know the breed, but that a great white had been spotted in the area.
Charlie added: “All I’m thinking was: ‘I’m about to die. I’m literally about to die.’
“So I thought: ‘Get in as fast as possible, ride the wave for as long as you can and then just start paddling for your life.’
“When it happened, I was like, just do what Mick did. Just punch it in the nose.”
