LOVE Island winner Kem Cetinay says his relationship with Amber Davies is strong enough to survive a Strictly-style curse.
He is training for the new series of Dancing On Ice but insists the beauty, 20, isn’t worried that he might have a tryst with one of the pros.
Kem said: “Amber trusts me and she’s comfortable with it. People talk about the Strictly curse and stuff but whoever does that can’t be very comfortable in their relationships.
“We are, and as long as you are comfortable then it shouldn’t bother you. We’ll keep it professional!”
Yet Kem admits he’s not yet mastered his blades as he prepares to join a host of other celebrities for the new ITV series, which hits screens in January.
He says: “Am I good? No! I can stand up on the ice, but I’m still learning to skate, never mind anything else. I’m too wooden and stiff. I can throw the odd tantrum too, so my trainer quickly changes what we’re doing.”
Kem, 21, struck up a bromance with fellow star Chris Hughes, 24, on the ITV2 show during the summer.
But the pair, famous for their ripped physiques, have revealed that they fell out of shape after leaving the Mallorcan villa.
Kem says: “With the busy lifestyle we were leading after the show and all the nights out we ended up having body insecurities.”
Chris, who came third in the show with Olivia Attwood, 26, explains: “Our muscles were not as toned as we were in the villa, when you pushed our arms they felt a bit flabby.”
It forced the pair to hit the gym again, but now they’re back to their hunky best.
And they’ve released a new fitness DVD – Chris & Kem: 100% – for the festive season with some of their best workouts to help the rest of us follow their lead.
Kem says: “Filming the DVD helped us get engaged with our fitness regimes again.”
The Essex lad, who normally works out five times a week, adds: “I like to work on, say, my chest one day and my arms the next, followed by a bit of cardio like sprints or power walking. For the DVD I loved doing yoga – it helped me feel a bit more flexible and hopefully that will help for Dancing On Ice.”
Chris says: “I go the gym about three times a week. I work a lot on my chest, but for the DVD I loved doing lots of squats, as my legs are a bit pathetic.
“I also liked doing planks, which are brilliant for targeting your core.”
The pair enjoyed getting sweaty together, and say their Love Island bromance is as strong as ever.
Kem says: “It just came so naturally and kind of just happened, but we had no idea how much people watching the show loved it. We live too far away to wor DVD
