Tiffany legend is dead
FRENCH fashion icon Hubert de Givenchy, famous for creating the little black dress, died yesterday aged 91.
His partner Philippe Venet, a former haute couture designer, confirmed the style icon’s death.
He said: “It is with huge sadness that we inform you that Hubert Taffin de Givenchy has died.”
The statement added that Givenchy’s nieces and nephews were also devastated by the news.
Givenchy was famous for creating the iconic “little black dress” worn by Audrey Hepburn in the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
