Giraffe’s bolt from the blue

THIS is the striking moment lightning flashes behind a giraffe out of a blue evening sky.

The towering animal appeared totally oblivious as the bolt shot to earth. Photographer Karen ver der Kolk, 45, captured the moment in Etosha National Park, Namibia. She said: “Suddenly some big clouds covered the setting sun, causing a grey scenery.”
