A balls-up from Fifa

Daily Star - - NEWS -

FIFA’S ball boffins have been at it again ahead of the World Cup.

Every tournament keepers live in fear of the wacky experiments its creators will pull to make the “perfect” official ball.

And Adidas’s Telstar appears no different.

The men between the sticks are already complaining it’s “a nightmare”.

To make matters worse, the last two winners of football’s showpiece – Germany and Spain – have already tested it out in a friendly. As if they need an extra advantage?

Of course Adidas are banking on making a killing on it, selling it online for £129.95.

Let’s hope England stoppers Jack Butland, Jordan Pickford and Nick Pope manage to get their hands on one early.
