LOVE Island star Sophie Gradon has been found dead after revealing how cruel online trolls made her life hell.

In a chilling final interview, the brunette beauty warned that victims of bullying could be pushed towards suicide.

LOVE Island host Caroline Flack led tributes to tragic contestant Sophie Gradon who has been found dead, aged 32.

Caroline said: “Such a beautiful soul, such a beautiful smile. Thoughts and love with friends and family.”

Fans were reeling after the body of Sophie, a former Miss Great Britain, was discovered at her home. She had been happily tweeting about the current series of ITV2’s hit dating show.

Her death came just hours after she posted a sexy lingerie shot on Instagram. But she had been fighting a secret battle with depression and once told pals she feared she had “sold my soul to reality TV”.

Bitchy

Sophie recently admitted that cruel trolls made her life hell after she appeared on Love Island in 2016.

The bisexual brunette played a starring role on the series, romping with a hunky fella in a wardrobe before sharing a kiss with sexy babe Katie Salmon.

In a chilling final interview only three months ago, she told how such bitchy criticism could push someone towards killing themselves.

Sophie told Radio Aire: “There would be so many negative comments. They are commenting on the way you look, the way you talk.

“It was very hard to deal with. It can really get into your mind and really affect you. The harsh reality is, it can end up with that person taking their own life.”

She also hinted at her inner turmoil when she tweeted last year: “Hi guys, no not dead just battling a little bit of depression.”

Police were called to her home near Ponteland, outside Newcastle, on Wednesday night. A spokesman said: “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”

Sophie’s boyfriend Aaron Armstrong later said he was “absolutely devastated”. He wrote on Facebook: “I will never forget that smile. I love you so so much baby – you’re my world forever ever and always.”

Love Island co-star Zara Holland wrote: “I’m beyond heartbroken, I’m in shock. My gorgeous girl, why?” Love Islander Olivia Buckland added: “I am gutted. I am so sorry the world failed you.”

ITV dedicated last night’s show to Sophie. It said in a statement: “The whole Love Island team are profoundly saddened to hear the news.”
