MORGAN BACKS HIS OLD ENEMY

LORD Sugar’s archenemy Piers Morgan has defended the race row Apprentice star.

Good Morning Britain anchor Piers described the billionaire businessman as “a halfwit” but “not a racist”. Lord Sugar, 71, sparked fury by tweeting an image of Senegal’s team mocked up as poor African beach traders in Spain.

And he came in for even more flak yesterday for “body shaming” a woman, by saying she had a “fat a**e”. The comment triggered a fresh wave of anger, with one critic posting: “Now body shaming too. Good work sir, good work.”

Another wrote: “Hmmmm apparently I can’t be racist, who knew, I know, I’ll try some misogynistic body shaming and see how that plays out.”

Piers, 53, received his own backlash after writing: “I’ve known Lord Sugar for 25 years.

“He can be a halfwit of biblical proportions, and prone to terrible ‘jokes’ as we saw today. But he’s not a racist.”
