THREE peo­ple have now died af­ter a mo­tor­way smash be­tween a lorry and an autism school minibus.

Po­lice re­vealed yes­ter­day the driver of the minibus had died in hospi­tal.


Two peo­ple – staff mem­bers at Prior’s Court School in Thatcham, Berks – died at the scene of the col­li­sion on the M4, on the east­bound car­riage­way be­tween Hunger­ford and New­bury, on Thurs­day. One was iden­ti­fied as teacher Lor­raine Ma­clel­lan, who was in her 60s.

Her daugh­ter Emma posted a trib­ute on Face­book in which she wrote: “Heaven gained an­other an­gel, our beau­ti­ful mum...”

One young adult re­mains in hospi­tal.
