Thief says he couldn’t chomp vic­tim

A WOULD-be thief ac­cused of try­ing to bite a mo­torist shouted out in court: “I’ve got no teeth, your hon­our.”

Nigel Si­moni, 47, was ac­cused of try­ing to sink his gnash­ers into Azhar Khan.

The driver had caught lout Si­moni at­tempt­ing to pinch his sat­nav in a raid on his black BMW in Brad­ford.

He had threat­ened Mr Khan with a multi-tool de­vice.

But that did not stop Mr Khan and his cousin giv­ing chase and re­strain­ing him.

Brad­ford Crown Court was told that Si­moni then tried to bite Mr Khan.

But the de­fen­dant shouted from the dock that he could not have done be­cause he is tooth­less.

Si­moni was jailed for 18 months af­ter ad­mit­ting at­tempted theft and pos­ses­sion of a bladed weapon.

The yob was on prison li­cence at the time of his lat­est raid and had an in­cred­i­ble 104 of­fences on his record in­clud­ing eight for weapon pos­ses­sion.
