FANS of The Missing will be interested to hear that a third series is planned.

Writers Jack and Harry Williams have mapped out a new story set in London.

Harry tells Radio Times: “We had a really good idea but the genuine truth is, we couldn’t make it work.”

Instead the two brothers worked on a spin-off for popular show detective Julien Baptiste. The BBC One drama Baptiste, starring Tchéky Karyo, left, begins on Sunday.

At the end of the last series many thought that Baptiste was going to die.

Harry added: “A lot of people would say: ‘I will stop watching the BBC if he’s not coming back.’”
