Minister ‘wrong to grab’

Daily Star - - NEWS -

A FORMER Tory MP breached the ministerial code when he grabbed a woman protester at a dinner.

Mark Field, who stood down from Parliament after being suspended as a Foreign Office minister, grabbed Greenpeace activist Janet Barker by the neck and forced her from the black-tie City event.

A Government investigation by Sir Alex Allan found that Mr Field was “justified in intervening” but he used too much force and did not treat Ms Barker with “consideration and respect” and “as such it was a breach of the ministerial code”.
