12 die in jet crash

A BABY has been pulled alive from a plane which smashed into a build­ing, leav­ing 12 peo­ple dead.

Dozens more are hurt in hospi­tal af­ter the Bek Air jet crashed just af­ter take­off at 7.22am yesterday.

The air­craft was car­ry­ing 93 pas­sen­gers and five crew from Al­maty air­port in Kaza­khstan to the cap­i­tal Nur-Sul­tan.

A spokesman said it hit a con­crete fence be­yond the end of the run­way and collided with the build­ing.

A probe will con­sider if pilot er­ror or a tech­ni­cal fail­ure caused the crash.
