Victory is tweet for Riley
COUNTDOWN presenter Rachel Riley has won the opening round of a legal battle after complaining about being defamed and harassed by an anonymous Twitter account.
The High Court heard the Harry Tuttle account had been used to attack Jewish people like Riley.
A judge ordered Daniel Bennett, who “admits responsibility” for the now dormant account, to disclose tweets that refer to her. He denies he was “not willing” to say if he wrote tweets and that “statements in issue” were not “likely to be defamatory”.
