KEITH: SOAP CAN WAIT

-

has revealed Coronation Street producers have invited him back on the ITV show several times but his music is his priority.

The Boyzlife star says the timing was never right each time bosses approached him about returning as barman Ciaran on the soap.

Keith told me: “I left Coronation Street in 2012, so eight years ago now, and I was in Corrie on and off for 10 years and every year rumours start that I am going back. But I am always the last to hear them.

“I am still very friendly with the producers and they left the situation open for my character to return.

“There have been times in the past where they have asked me to come back for a brief period here and there, and to be honest I have never been in the position to be able to do it, I have always had something else on.”

Bandmate Brian Mcfadden added that they’ve both been offered several other TV opportunities, but Boyzlife is their priority.

He said: “Our number one love is making music, and performing live on stage, it runs through our blood.

“There have been talks of doing our own TV shows and radio, and things have been on the table. But for now we are focusing on the music.”

On Friday the boys release debut LP

Strings Attached, featuring Westlife and Boyzone hits but the twosome are itching to drop original music.

Brian teased: “We have started working on a brand new album with original material, the first from us.

“We didn’t plan on getting this much writing time as we were supposed to be on the road, but we are embracing it, and taking this time to get this album well on the way.”

They are set to continue with the second leg of their UK tour from March 2021.
