Motorcyclist dies after crash
A 22-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a lorry on the A6 Alvaston bypass.
Police closed the road for several hours following the incident, which happened at around 12.30pm on Thursday.
The man was flown by air ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, but later died in hospital. Police are appealing for information over the fatal crash and is urging witnesses or anybody with dashcam footage to make contact.
