2 Yuneec Typhoon Q500 4K

With a com­pet­i­tive price tag of £800, this drone shoots 4K at 30fps and records 12Mp DNG RAWS. It has a 3-axis sta­bilised gim­ble, and comes com­plete with a ded­i­cated hand­held con­troller, 16GB mi­cro SD card, hand­held Steady­grip and in­car charger. With its ‘No-fly zone’ fea­ture it’ll also stop you from in­ad­ver­tently break­ing reg­u­la­tions.

3 Par­rot Be­bop 2

Weigh­ing only 500g and cost­ing just £439, the Par­rot Be­pop 2 is both com­pact and af­ford­able. Record­ing Full HD video (1080p) at 30fps, it also cap­tures 14Mp stills with the op­tion to save them as DNGS, RAWS or JPEGS. Pro­vid­ing 25mins of flight time from fully charged, it’s a great place to be­gin em­brac­ing the pos­si­bil­i­ties of­fered by drones.
