“The ma­jor­ity of my cre­ative as­sign­ments are one-off or project-based fees – it helps to keep things straight­for­ward and sim­ple for both my­self and the clients’ bud­gets. I also gen­er­ate sales through im­age li­cens­ing for my light-paint­ing im­ages – partly through stock agen­cies but pre­dom­i­nantly di­rect with the clients who find me through my on­line pres­ence. A long while ago I chose not to shoot as­sign­ments such as wed­dings, as I sim­ply don’t have the time to be a re­tailer and of­fer the level of ser­vice and op­tions that the cou­ple quite rightly de­mands.”
