Nikon D5500 with NIKKOR 18- 140mm f/ 3.5- 5.6G lens. Ex­po­sure: 20 sec­onds at f/ 3.5 ( ISO 1250).

What we think: Pen­mon Point in An­gle­sey – it's a tran­quil place and clas­sic stretch of Welsh coast­line. We're not sure what was cast­ing the light on the fore­ground, or if it was in­ten­tional, but it does help add in­ter­est – with­out it the stones would be in shadow! The sub­tle glow in the sky, mixed with the brood­ing blue rain clouds adds plenty of in­ter­est to the scene too. There's a strong vi­gnette, but this could be cor­rected eas­ily.
