Thank you Jane Czyzsel­ska and DIVA mag­a­zine. The fea­ture “Look­ing so good it hurts” (June 2017) bril­liantly de­scribes how ideas about beauty, de­sir­abil­ity and ac­cept­abil­ity are man­u­fac­tured by en­trepreneurs con­cerned only with per­sonal gain. The cost to the health and well­be­ing of the peo­ple they sell their ideas to does not en­ter their con­sid­er­a­tions. The call at the end of the fea­ture to live ac­cord­ing to our own ideas and what is in our own best in­ter­ests is in­spir­ing. Es­sen­tial read­ing. JO W
