This horror spectacle from novelist Stephen King was one of the most terrifying reads of my young life. There was an unsatisfactory TV version made in the 1990s which didn’t live up to the book, but Tim Curry playing Pennywise the clown with pointed teeth still sends chills down my spine. It’s no surprise then that writer Cary Joji Fukunaga was attracted to the project. It tells the tale of a group of kids called the “Losers’ Club” who try to combat the dreadful evil living beneath a small town in America. And as you know, every story is a lesbian one: in this case, because it’s a story of what happens when a town sacrifices its misfits, and those who try to live with their choices. #LEZZGO In cinemas 8 September
