Married couple Shoshana and Meredith took this picture in Yoyogi Park, Shibuya, in March, before heading to the countryside. “It was Tokyo Pride, the first Pride we’d been to that wasn’t where either of us are from; it was lovely to feel an international sense of the LGBT community,” says Shoshana, adding that Gold Finger, Tokyo’s lesbian bar, has a fun, cosy vibe and features karaoke. “It is probably one of the friendliest bars in the area.” If you visit Japan, Shoshana and Meredith recommend splitting your time between experiencing the countryside and seeing the big cities. Favourite lez/bi destination? Portugal “We loved Portugal, the weather was beautiful and the beaches were gorgeous. We also loved Gran Canaria and Israel. We are big on beach holidays!” Shosh and Mer are an interracial, bi-national, married couple living in London – and they also happen to be a big Youtube hit.
