A Dumfries music festival is gearing up for a “milestone” year in 2018.
Next year’s Perform in Dumfries will be the annual event’s 90th edition and the syllabus was launched this week.
Pupils from Cargenbridge Primary met with festival chairwoman Doreen Jaap to promote one of the highlights of the year in the music scene.
Doreen said: “It’s quite a milestone next year.
“The festival has gone from strength to strength after it nearly folded 15 years ago but with a new committee it has gone from strength to strength. It’s a much healthier picture now.
“It’s a massive event for Dumfries and we’re already looking forward to it.”
Throughout next March various events including music, Scottish dancing and accordion and fiddle will take place.
