Midweek wins for Threave and Saints

South of Scotland League: Newton Stewart 0 Threave Rovers 3; St Cuthbert Wanderers 7 Nithsdale Wanderers 0.
On Wednesday night the two Stewartry clubs Threave Rovers and St Cuthbert Wanderers hit form when between them they scored 10 goals without any in return.
Following a poor start to the season by both clubs’ previous high standards, they now look to be coming good and forces to be reckoned with in South football.
Blair Dougan scored a hat-trick for Saints with Joe McMillan, Ross Hunter and Ben Jaekel also on target, the other goal being an own goal.
A Roman Soltys double and a single from Dan Thom was enough for Threave to sink Newton Stewart at Blairmount Park to take the three points. Fixture, tonight : South Regional Challenge Cup, round 1: Lochmaben FC v Upper Annandale, kick-off 7:30pm Queen of the South welcome Morton to Palmerston Park this week as they aim to continue their fine start to the season.

The keeper and the club have reached a “mutual” agreement and he has now left Palmerston.
Robinson, 31, has had three spells at Palmerston which included a Challenge Cup win over Partick Thistle.
Annan Athletic welcome Stenhousemuir to Galabank this week.
