The speaker at next week’s meet­ing of Locker­bie Wildlife Trust will be Morna Brown from the Cairn­gorm Rein­deer Cen­tre.

Her sub­ject will be The story of the rein­deer in Scot­land: A suc­cess­ful rein­tro­duc­tion?

Scot­land is now a recog­nised rein­deer-herd­ing coun­try, yet many of us are not even aware that rein­deer live and be­long here.

Morna will speak about the story of rein­deer in Scot­land and dis­cuss how suc­cess­fully they have re­set­tled into the land­scape. There will be a short film, a talk and time for dis­cus­sion about th­ese fas­ci­nat­ing crea­tures.

The meet­ing will be held in the Com­mu­nity Rooms, Locker­bie, on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 15, at 7.30pm. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

The LWT 2018 cal­en­dar will be avail­able to buy. Peanuts and bird seed will also be on sale as will packs of Christ­mas cards and wildlife cards.

The trust has reg­is­tered for Gift Aid which in­creases the value of mem­ber­ship fees and do­na­tions.

The au­tumn cof­fee morn­ing was held last Satur­day in Locker­bie Town Hall and raised £680. Thanks to all who sup­ported it.
