Prize night at Sanquhar
President Billy Watson welcomed a good turnout of members and friends to the annual presentation of prizes at Sanquhar Bowling Club last weekend and invited his wife Barbara to make the presentations. The winners were: Two-bowl singles: Darren Moore. 2-bowl pairs: Billy Watson & Stuart McKenzie. Conrig mixed pairs: Lindsay & Pamela Clark. Club pairs: Neil Thompson & Gordon McMillan.

Former club Secretary May McBride then presented Barbara with a bouquet of flowers.
Club president Billy Watson then made a presentation to Jim Pirrie, in recognition of his services to the Club. Jim, 82, was president in 1976 and retired this year after 32 years as club treasurer. His service to the club over the years has been immense and he will not be easily replaced. Jim and his wife Janette have moved to Dumfries to live.
