Planning to rock for charity
A Dumfries pub is hosting a music event in aid of the MS Society.
The charity band event on Saturday, February 17, will see a host of acts take to the stage at the Normandy Bar in the town’s Troqueer Street from 2pm.
The line-up includes The Lovecut Revolvers, Velvet/Ratio, Stoney Broke, Black Mango and a DJ set from Russell Stephen.
Entry is free but customers will be encouraged to donate to the charity.
Organiser, Kat Halliday said: “The event is all about raising money for a charitable cause that is close to our hearts.
“We would really encourage people to donate, as there are people close to the pub that have experience of multiple sclerosis and since it’s maybe not as well known to a lot of people, we really wanted to do something for them.
“So many bands have been helpful and offered to play. It’s really good to see everyone coming together to help put this event together and raise money for a great cause.”
