Ask “Is it Sepsis?”
Sepsis is a life threatening complication of an infection.
If not treated fast enough sepsis can lead to loss of limbs or even death.
Sepsis symptoms can multiply and get worse very quickly.
If you notice any combination of these symptoms you need to take immediate action: ●A very high or very low temperature ●Uncontrolled shivering ●Confusion ●Cold or blotchy hands and feet ●Not passing as much urine as normal ●Every hour without treatment increases the risk of dying. ●Act immediately – call NHS 24 on 111 and ask“is it sepsis?”
