Sep­sis is a life threat­en­ing com­pli­ca­tion of an infection.

If not treated fast enough sep­sis can lead to loss of limbs or even death.

Sep­sis symp­toms can mul­ti­ply and get worse very quickly.

If you no­tice any com­bi­na­tion of these symp­toms you need to take im­me­di­ate ac­tion: ●A very high or very low tem­per­a­ture ●Un­con­trolled shiv­er­ing ●Con­fu­sion ●Cold or blotchy hands and feet ●Not pass­ing as much urine as nor­mal ●Ev­ery hour with­out treat­ment in­creases the risk of dy­ing. ●Act im­me­di­ately – call NHS 24 on 111 and ask“is it sep­sis?”
