An­nual work­ing day for old Fer­gies

Or­gan­is­ers are hop­ing the weather im­proves for the an­nual Fer­gu­son Work­ing Day which is be­ing held at West Mains Farm, Collin on Sun­day.

The an­nual event is or­gan­ised by the Friends of Fer­gu­son Her­itage from the South west of Scot­land and there will be a big dis­play of trac­tors and ma­chin­ery as well as work­ing dis­plays, the an­nual plough­ing match and an auc­tion.

John John­ston, from Gretna said: “It’s al­ways a pop­u­lar day and we are hop­ing the weather is good and that we have a good turnout.

“It is held at West Mains cour­tesy of Wil­lie Cruick­shank there is al­ways a good dis­play of static and work­ing trac­tors in­clud­ing the plough­ing match.

“There will also be demon­stra­tions through­out the day.”
