Church teas keep rolling

Duris­deer Church held a cof­fee morn­ing as it con­tin­ues to cel­e­brate its 50th an­niver­sary of af­ter­noon teas.

The church in the South­ern Up­land Hills has been dish­ing out cof­fees, cakes and other treats for five decades.

To cel­e­brate that mile­stone, ev­ery Sun­day since Au­gust mem­bers of the church have been serv­ing up the af­ter­noon teas and they have been pop­u­lar with peo­ple in Dum­fries and Gal­loway and beyond.

There is still time to get along to Duris­deer Church to sam­ple some of the fine bak­ing, com­pany and scenery on of­fer as they are run­ning these events un­til Septem­ber 30.

Af­ter­noon teas take place ev­ery Sun­day from 2.30pm un­til 5.30pm and ev­ery­one is wel­come.
