Mellow festival at Dalswinton
Dalswinton is set to enjoy an autumn extravaganza later this month, with a special series of events celebrating the season coming to the village.
The Mellow Fruitfulness Festival includes a rich array of concerts, workshops, walks and talks and group activities and takes place over three days from September 21 to September 23.
The weekend gets underway with a performance from acclaimed acapella singing quarter LOKA; Saturday features a gig from folk music duo Emily Smith and Jamie McLennan; and it all draws to a close on Sunday with a story telling session from Incredible String Band founder and multi-instrumentalist, Robin Williamson.
That’s only part of the diverse programme on show across the festival, which can be found in full at https://www.facebook.com/KirkmahoeConcerts-140910459339947/.
Professor David Clark, the festival founder, said: “We are delighted to be having our Mellow Fruitfulness Festival for the second time and grateful for all the support we have received from Arts Live and the Barfil Trust.
“Apart from the three concerts, all events are free and on the Saturday there will also be a wonderful pop-up market full of exciting stalls.”
Tickets can be purchased online at www. dgartslive.org.uk/how-to-book or on the door at the Midsteeple Box Office.
