Mel­low fes­ti­val at Dal­swin­ton

Dal­swin­ton is set to en­joy an au­tumn ex­trav­a­ganza later this month, with a spe­cial se­ries of events cel­e­brat­ing the sea­son com­ing to the vil­lage.

The Mel­low Fruit­ful­ness Fes­ti­val in­cludes a rich ar­ray of con­certs, work­shops, walks and talks and group ac­tiv­i­ties and takes place over three days from Septem­ber 21 to Septem­ber 23.

The week­end gets un­der­way with a per­for­mance from ac­claimed acapella singing quar­ter LOKA; Satur­day fea­tures a gig from folk mu­sic duo Emily Smith and Jamie McLen­nan; and it all draws to a close on Sun­day with a story telling ses­sion from In­cred­i­ble String Band founder and multi-in­stru­men­tal­ist, Robin Wil­liamson.

Pro­fes­sor David Clark, the fes­ti­val founder, said: “We are de­lighted to be hav­ing our Mel­low Fruit­ful­ness Fes­ti­val for the sec­ond time and grate­ful for all the sup­port we have re­ceived from Arts Live and the Barfil Trust.

“Apart from the three con­certs, all events are free and on the Satur­day there will also be a won­der­ful pop-up mar­ket full of ex­cit­ing stalls.”
