Two hurt in three-car smash

Two men were taken to Dum­fries In­fir­mary af­ter a three-car crash near Locker­bie on Tues­day night.

The ac­ci­dent in­volved a Kia Venga be­ing driven by a 91-year-old man from Lochmaben, a Ford Fo­cus be­ing driven by a 29-year-old man from Dum­fries, and an Isuzu D-Max be­ing driven by a 56-year-old man from Locker­bie.

The col­li­sion hap­pened on the A709 at Shillahill Bridge around 7pm.

The Kia over­turned and blocked the road at the scene.
