PJs and funkin’ for kids

Dumfries & Galloway Standard - - THE WEEKEND TICKET -

The young performers from Razzamataz Dumfries donned their PJs for a fun party to raise funds for charity.

The event raised money for the company’s future fund which helps to finance a scholarship of a former student to train at a performing arts college or university.

This year’s proceeds will be split with West Sound’s Cash for Kids.

The principal of Razzamataz Dumfries, Pam Dixon, said: “We have had a number of PJ days before, which the children have loved and we have raised a lot for our future fund.

“Razzamataz has been able to help finance students through performing arts college and we are now in the position of watching their success in the industry.”

To encourage youngsters to try something new, Razzamataz Dumfries is inviting current students to bring a friend along to let them experience performing arts fun and take part in the dancing, singing and acting classes at no cost.

Razzamataz Dumfries is held at The Theatre Royal every Monday from 1.30pm to 8pm. Visit www.dumfries.razzamataz. co.uk for further details.
