Eighteen swimmers from DASC were chosen to compete in this event. They were sitting in 10th place going into the event with stiff competition from some of the big city clubs.
They swam as a team, every position they came in collected points, not medals.
There were 30 swims in total and four relay teams and after a great deal of effort with lots of personal best times and top three positions throughout the day from all the swimmers, they finished ninth overall.
Head coach Anthony Ryan and assistant regional coach Ross McCafferty praised the swimmers for their performances and enthusiasm.
