Long Melford Coun­try Fair is be­ing re­launched in the stun­ning grounds of the vil­lage’s Melford Hall.

The fam­ily fun day has been miss­ing from the lo­cal events ca­lan­der, but friends Edd Keogh, James Janzen and Andy Piper are re­viv­ing the event as a cel­e­bra­tion of ev­ery­thing coun­try­side and all round fam­ily en­ter­tain­ment. The week­end will in­clude showjump­ing, dog agility and a strong­man chal­lenge, lots of lo­cal food, real ales, ciders and wines, hand­made crafts, shop­ping, a speak­ers’ tent, spe­cial demon­stra­tions, chil­dren’s rides and more. The Coun­try Fair is on Au­gust 5 and 6, 11.30am-6pm. Tick­ets are avail­able in ad­vance on­line at www.melford­coun­try­, or on the gate. Chil­dren un­der five go free.
