SUN­DAY, AU­GUST 6 Brass on the Grass, 2.30pm to 10pm Sit back and re­lax while Ip­swich Hos­pi­tal Band per­forms for the fourth and fi­nal con­cert of the Brass on the Grass se­ries. Tak­ing place on the Up­per Ar­bore­tum Lawn of Christchurch Park, the pre­vi­ous Sun­day af­ter­noon con­certs have proven to be very pop­u­lar with vis­i­tors and this fi­nal per­for­mance prom­ises to show­case more great mu­si­cal ta­lent from across East Anglia. Ip­swich Bor­ough Coun­cil will be or­gan­is­ing the event and plans a great week­end of ac­tiv­i­ties for all ages.

His­tor­i­cal re-en­act­ments, a va­ri­ety of ves­sels, street food, fair­ground rides, a range of stalls and chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties are all planned for the fes­ti­val, along­side a fully pro­grammed stage of live mu­sic per­for­mances, a bar area, fire per­form­ers and a fire­work fi­nale on the Sun­day night. At­ten­dees are wel­come to join in Sketch­book Strolls ses­sions in Holy­wells Park, what­ever their age or skill level. No art ex­pe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary.
