Twins Alex and Oliver Burnside, who have made such a suc­cess of the Plough and Sail at Snape Malt­ings for the past five years, have taken over a sec­ond prop­erty, The Golden Key in Snape. The brothers have worked to­gether for more than 15 years. Cel­e­brat­ing lo­cal sea­sonal pro­duce and play­ing a cen­tral role in the lo­cal com­mu­nity is their ethos and they be­lieve they can achieve this with their lat­est ven­ture.

Alex said: “We aim to es­tab­lish a pop­u­lar coun­try din­ing pub with a rep­u­ta­tion for great food, a wel­com­ing and re­laxed at­mos­phere and ex­cep­tional ser­vice. We will use fan­tas­tic lo­cal in­gre­di­ents and bring them to­gether to cre­ate tra­di­tional pub dishes done well.” The pub will be run in a tra­di­tional way, of­fer­ing a range of lagers and ales, spir­its and soft drinks and bar snacks.
