NEW ANGLE PRIZE
The New Angle prize for Literature is a £2,500 biennial award sponsored by Gotelee Solicitors and Scrutton Bland Financial Services, for a book of literary merit set in or influenced by the region of East Anglia.
The 2017 judges’ short-list of six books was announced in March. They are: Threads, The Delicate Life of John Craske by Julia Blackburn; The Crime Writer by Jill Dawson; Midwinter by Fiona Melrose; The Stopped Heart by Julie Myerson; The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry; Sandlands by Rosy Thornton.
The judges are Midge Gilles, Steve Russell and Kate Worsley.
