THE Alde­burgh Food and Drink Fes­ti­val week­end Septem­ber 23/24 takes place in the beau­ti­ful set­ting of Snape Malt­ings, next to the River Alde. There will be more than 90 food and drink pro­duc­ers from Suf­folk, many from just a few miles away, all gath­ered to sell their pro­duce in­clud­ing raw milk, or­ganic veg­eta­bles, sour­dough bread, award win­ning beer and spir­its from spon­sors Ad­nams, and de­li­cious street­food.

The fes­ti­val is truly fam­ily friendly, with free tick­ets for un­der 15s and free chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties, as well as hand­son cook­ing work­shops.

Not only is there an amaz­ing ar­ray of lo­cal pro­duce but the fes­ti­val also has two cook­ery demon­stra­tion stages host­ing vis­it­ing and lo­cal chefs and food writ­ers. This year you can see Tim An­der­son, Lopè Ariyo, Dhruv Baker, Gal­ton Black­iston, Jor­dan Bourke, Melissa Cole, Martha Col­li­son, Chetna Makan, aThuy Pham José Pizarro, Tim Si­a­datan and Cyrus Todi­wala.
