EADT Suffolk - - Education -

We believe we stand out and we prepare all our students in both Higher and Further Education for the highest academic and vocational futures. All our students are guaranteed links within the industries they are studying, to help make their onward careers seamless. We all know life is about what you know as well as whom you know! and we are passionately committed to ensuring they all succeed. Our education approach is built around three pillars -

Qualifications, Connections and Character Strengths. This means is we don’t just teach our students the qualifications they need to go on, but we also inspire the right personal qualities, like resilience and give them the connections to businesses they will need when they leave. A qualification from us is more than just a piece of paper, it’s a doorway. Individualised Education Every student is an individual and their needs, home lives and dreams are always put first. For our degree students, there are full time and part time options for most subjects which makes it easier to fit study around your work or home commitments. You will find lecturers are understanding about the difficulties of studying while you’re trying to keep everything else going. Big range of courses and amazing facilities If you haven’t been to West Suffolk College or the University on campus before, we hope you’ll come and take a look around. It’s an impressive site with much recent investment in facilities and teaching. Big dreams We think big! All of our courses are committed to offering enrichment experiences and placement opportunities. In the last year alone groups of students have gone all over the world and have worked with Michelin chef Albert Roux, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, worked on briefs with BBC Radio 1, and have been inspired by big names such as Brian Ferry and Ruthie Henshall. Big qualifications Our Level 3 16-18 courses are equivalent to three A Levels and receive the same UCAS points. Universities love our students because they can walk the walk, as well as talk the talk. This is down to the excellent vocational training we offer alongside the academic study. Students who come to us have an edge over those students who just study A levels, as we give them the commercial understanding and contacts needed in todays world. Degrees are Doable Similarly for Degree students, we understand a return on their investment is fundamental and commercial links are a part of the courses. Students that start a Higher Education course with us are from all backgrounds and study for all reasons. A significant majority are mature students (25+) who want to regain confidence in their abilities or begin a journey on a new career path. Whatever your prior education it’s always possible to restart, either direct or via an Access to Higher Education course and funding options are available.
