JOBS ON THE RUN

A new run­ning club has been launched in Ip­swich in which mem­bers stop off to help el­derly peo­ple with one-off tasks. The GoodGym group meets ev­ery Mon­day at Ip­swich Wa­ter­front, 6.30pm.

MUM RAISES £10K+

Inge Van Tuinen–Ni­jkamp ran the gru­elling Marathon des Sables, rais­ing £10,539 for Ip­swich Hospi­tal to buy a life­like sim­u­la­tor of a pre­ma­ture baby to train staff to di­ag­nose and treat a range of con­di­tions.

TREK FOR SARS

East of Eng­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice col­leagues Martin Grove, Adam Wright and Rod wells, braved a 70-mile Arc­tic trek to raise £1,800 for Suf­folk Ac­ci­dent and Res­cue Ser­vice (SARS).
