GAR­DEN DE­SIGN COURSE

Gar­den­ing ex­pert He­len Riches is run­ning a Short Course in Gar­den De­sign at Wal­ber­swick from Oc­to­ber 19-21, 10am to 4pm, teach­ing the ba­sic skills re­quired to plan a gar­den, whether start­ing from scratch or adding a bit of wow fac­tor to a sin­gle bed. TREE WEEK­END

HAVE YOUR SAY ON A12

Res­i­dents are be­ing urged to give their views in a six-week public con­sul­ta­tion on plans to by­pass four vil­lages on the A12 and help per­suade Gov­ern­ment to back the multi-mil­lion pound project.

The route will serve the pro­posed Sizewell C de­vel­op­ment, wind farm op­er­a­tions off the coast, pro­vide im­proved ac­cess for new hous­ing and busi­nesses along the A12 cor­ri­dor, and pro­vide re­lief for Farn­ham, Stratford St An­drew, Lit­tle Glemham and Mar­les­ford, where res­i­dents have been cam­paign­ing for a by­pass for at least 20 years. Ex­hi­bi­tions of the pro­pos­als will be held at the River­side Cen­tre in Stratford St An­drew on Septem­ber 20, and Septem­ber 23, 10am to 6pm.
