NEWMARKET gym Asgard Fitness has donated £720 to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), money raised through a strongest man competition, for which some competitors travelled more than 150 miles.

Director Paul Turner said: “This was our first ever event like this and we were astounded at the number of competitors. It was an absolute success. The true aim of the day was to raise awareness and funds for our chosen charity, EACH, and we think we did a pretty good job. Thank you to everyone for their generous contributions.”

Victoria Matthews, EACH Suffolk corporate fundraiser said: “We’d like to say thank you to Asgard – another great example of the corporate community in Suffolk supporting our cause.” EACH’s services include short-break care, end-oflife care and bereavement support.
