John Gar­rett. All mem­bers of Sud­bourne Print­mak­ers, they use tech­niques in­clud­ing col­la­graph, dry­point, etch­ing, lino and wood­cuts to cre­ate orig­i­nal prints that ex­press their in­spi­ra­tion. Many of Gill’s prints are of the an­i­mals on the small farm that is her home. Tri­cia il­lus­trated books and other pub­li­ca­tions be­fore re­turn­ing to print mak­ing. John’s love of tra­di­tional sail­ing craft and river scenes with reeds and bul­rushes is ex­pressed in sev­eral me­dia. Many of his prints are of sub­jects close to Snape.

WAL­SHAM LE WIL­LOWS 12, NOVEM­BER 18-20

Twelve artists, all with links to the vil­lage, once a year get to­gether and show their work in the Pri­ory Rooms, The Cause­way, Wal­sham le Wil­lows. It’s a great place to find a gift for some­one, or an ex­cuse to treat your own home to some­thing beau­ti­ful and lo­cally hand-made. There’s a wide range of artis­tic tal­ents on show in­clud­ing Mandy (glass­work), Peter Rud­der­ham (met­al­work), Diana Calvert (oil paint­ings), Ali­son Dane ( jewellery), He­len Dougall (batik wall­hang­ings), Chris and Hi­lary Evans (print­mak­ing), Mary Jane Toul­son (weav­ing), Gill Grimes (spin­ning and knit­ting), Gil­lian Cross­ley Hol­land (oil pas­tels) and Rob Wheeler (ce­ram­ics).
