BACH & BUXTEHUDE AT THE CATHE­DRAL

St Ed­munds­bury Cathe­dral hosts Colch­ester’s ac­claimed Cham­ber Choir on Sun­day April 29 in what prom­ises to be a thrilling evening of mu­sic en­ti­tled Bach and Buxtehude at Easter. The pro­gramme fea­tures two Easter can­tatas, Bach’s Christ lag in Todes­ban­den BWV4 and Buxtehude’s Heut’ tri­um­phieret Gottes Sohn BuxWV43 with trum­pets and tim­pani. The choir will be ac­com­pa­nied by some of the coun­try’s finest young baroque in­stru­men­tal­ists, or­gan­ist Richard Moore.
